"What's the retention benchmark for a [Casual] game in 2026?"

Charts below show install-weighted avg. D1, D7, D30s (US/iOS) for a handful of casual genres.

These are the dashed vertical lines, and probably the simplest answer for the headline question.

E.g. a match-3 in 2026 with 'top-grossing' aspirations will be competing against install-weighted competition getting 47 / 24 / 13.

Median, 25th and 75th percentile also shown.

What's surprising to me is that some casual genres are still viable with D30s at 5-8%.

E.g. Solitaire/Tripeaks modest retention profile is surprising, and Disney Solitaire is a SERIOUS outlier. This explains, in large part, why DS has eaten that genre.
